ROWAN CLASS (YEAR 4/5)
RE Subject Lead / History and Geography Subject Lead
I am so pleased to be teaching Rowan Class and am really excited for a fantastic year ahead! This year we will be covering lots of interesting topics in creative ways whilst developing our knowledge and skills.
Throughout the year we will be delving into a range of fascinating texts from magic to mystery! We will practise writing a range of text types in our English lessons inspired by some brilliant authors. In our wider curriculum lessons we are beginning with Ancient Greece in history and are looking forward to learning a brass instrument in our music lessons. A specialist Spanish teacher, Ms Webber will be teaching the children Spanish every 2 weeks. There will be a significant focus on times tables, particularly for the year 4 children as they prepare for their times table test in the summer so make sure you get practising on TT Rockstars year 4s!
I enjoy learning in a creative way and know that this benefits children too. We will be learning how to make bread in our food tech lessons as well as a working fairground in our structures and electrical system lessons! I am really looking forward to being on the learning journey together.
